A new offshore opportunity is available for an experienced Mechanical Technician (Topside/Hull) to join a major FPU conversion project. This role is suitable for mechanical professionals with practical experience in static mechanical equipment, topside and hull systems, offshore oil and gas facilities, FPSO/FPU projects, and shipyard or conversion environments.
The project will begin with an approximately three-month shore-based assignment in Turkey, followed by around eight months offshore. The offshore phase will operate on a 35 days on / 35 days off rotation, making this an attractive opportunity for technicians seeking international offshore experience.
Mechanical Technician – Project Overview:
The selected technician will support mechanical activities associated with the conversion and preparation of an FPU. Candidates should be comfortable working in industrial, shipyard, and offshore environments where mechanical equipment installation, inspection, maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities may be required.
The initial shore-based phase in Turkey is expected to last approximately three months. During this period, technicians may be involved in conversion-related activities, equipment preparation, mechanical inspections, installation support, and coordination with project teams at the shipyard.
Following completion of the shore-based phase, the successful candidates are expected to move offshore for approximately eight months.

After the shore-based phase, the role will transition offshore for approximately eight months on a 35/35 rotation. This means personnel will generally work for 35 days offshore followed by 35 days off, subject to the project’s operational requirements.
This structure can provide valuable international experience for mechanical technicians who want to strengthen their offshore oil and gas background.
Accommodation and Food Provided:
The project provides accommodation and full board during both the shore-based assignment and the offshore phase. This can make the opportunity particularly attractive for candidates travelling internationally for the project.
