ALCHEMY is currently hiring experienced Mechanical Technicians for an offshore Oil & Gas project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This opportunity is suitable for mechanical professionals who have strong hands-on experience in reciprocating gas compressor maintenance, overhauling, repair, and troubleshooting.
The selected candidates will work on an offshore rotation of 90 days on / 30 days off and will receive a salary of AED 3,250 plus offshore allowance.
Candidates with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and more than 5 years of Oil & Gas industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting activities associated with reciprocating gas compressors and their auxiliary systems.
The role requires strong practical knowledge of rotating equipment and the ability to perform maintenance activities safely and efficiently in an offshore environment.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on reciprocating gas compressors.
- Performing compressor overhauling, inspection, repair, and reassembly.
- Troubleshooting mechanical problems and identifying equipment faults.
- Inspecting compressor components and auxiliary systems.
- Supporting maintenance activities on compressor-related equipment.
- Using technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals during maintenance work.
- Checking equipment condition and identifying abnormal operating conditions.
- Using diagnostic instruments such as vibration analyzers and pressure gauges.
- Following approved maintenance procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintaining proper documentation and maintenance records.
Required Experience and Skills:
Applicants should have more than five years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with direct hands-on experience working with reciprocating gas compressors.
Candidates should have a good understanding of compressor components, operating principles, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with compressor auxiliaries is also important for this position. Technicians should be comfortable working with mechanical equipment and diagnosing faults using appropriate tools and instruments.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, mechanical schematics, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation is required.
Knowledge of industrial safety practices is also essential. Candidates should understand hazard identification, risk assessment, safe work procedures, and industrial safety standards, particularly for Oil & Gas operations.
Basic computer skills are also expected. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access can be useful for maintenance documentation, reports, records, and other administrative activities.
