1. Mechanical Technician – Rotating Equipment:
The Mechanical Technician position is intended for candidates with extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial rotating equipment.
Key Requirements:
Candidates should have a Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering along with 10+ years of relevant experience in rotating equipment maintenance and repair.
Strong practical experience is required with equipment such as:
- Turbo compressors
- Reciprocating compressors
- Steam turbines
- Gas turbines
- Bearings and mechanical seals
- Couplings and related rotating components
The selected technician should be experienced in the complete maintenance cycle, including equipment dismantling, inspection, repair, assembly, installation, and maintenance.
Experience with shaft and coupling alignment is also important. Candidates should be comfortable using precision measurement tools and applying proper alignment techniques during rotating equipment maintenance.
The role also requires the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of workshop and equipment safety procedures are essential.

The position requires strong hands-on experience operating conventional machine tools, including:
- Horizontal lathes
- Boring machines
- Conventional milling machines
- Precision machining equipment
The successful candidate will be responsible for machining and reconditioning mechanical components to required dimensions and tolerances. Experience in repair and reconditioning of mechanical parts will be valuable.
Knowledge of reverse engineering and dimensional inspection is also required. Candidates should be able to inspect components accurately and identify dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements before beginning repair or manufacturing work.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential. Experience using precision measuring instruments is also expected.
