A major LNG project in Ras Laffan, Qatar is currently looking for experienced and certified Mechanical Technicians / Supervisors to support project start-up activities. The selected candidates will be expected to support mechanical maintenance and start-up activities while maintaining safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment.
Qualification Requirements:
Applicants should have a Diploma, ITI, or recognised mechanical trade qualification. Candidates must also have a minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience.
The position requires practical field experience rather than only theoretical knowledge. Candidates should be comfortable working with industrial mechanical equipment and handling maintenance activities in demanding project environments.
Most importantly, previous Qatar LNG project experience is mandatory for this vacancy. Applicants who do not have relevant Qatar LNG project experience may not meet the stated requirement.
Required Mechanical Experience:
The successful candidate should have strong hands-on experience with pumps and rotating equipment. Knowledge of rotating machinery maintenance is particularly important for this role.
Experience should include mechanical components and maintenance activities such as:
- Bearings inspection and replacement
- Mechanical seal maintenance
- Coupling inspection and replacement
